Society for Integrated Rural Development (SIRD) Durg is an agency registered under Cooperatives & Societies act 1973( No 44 /1973). The society was registered on 02 January 2013 with registration no. 4075. It is a dedicated agency working for the upliftment of rural & urban poor.
SIRD has completed 10 years of its formation & registered a year back in Jan 2013.

Mushroom Production by SHG
Sakhi Self Help Group was formed by SIRD in the year 2018.SHGs were included in the E-Shakti project and a bank loan of Rs. 2 lakh was sanctioned. Mushroom production training was given to the group by the organization. After training, the group started mushroom production. Presently the group is getting an additional income of 20 to 25 thousand rupees per month.

How we face challenges of Covid 19
Our field of Chhattisgarh was also affected by
this but in spite of this. the organization continued its
rural development efforts. The organization made its
best efforts in completing the projects approved by
NABARD.
E-Shakti Animator did important work in providing
bank loans to SHGs as per requirement during covid. In
the Balod district also, new groups were formed
because of the problems of Covid 19.
Work was done in NABARD sponsored watershed
project to provide employment to the villagers during
Covid 19.
SIRD Achivements
3 Awarded and RecognitionSociety for Integrated Rural Development has been working for the development of rural areas for many years. National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Chhattisgarh has been awarded state level first prize twice by the institution for better work on formation of self-help groups and bank credit linkage of groups.

Society for Integrated Rural Development (SIRD) has also established a small library at Balod distt., Which has a good collection of books pertaining to Rural Development, Watershed Development, Tribal Development, Science, Environment, etc. The agency also has a collection of audio video, movies on SHG development, Micro pension, Micro Finance & also different magazines & papers
